MUA Matte lipsticks Peachy Keen & Pouty Pink

Hello everyone <3 The temperature has really dropped here in the last few days. It's definitely onesie weather!

I saw that MUA had released a new collection of matte lipsticks and me being me I wanted the whole set. At £1 each they are an absolute bargain. I love bargains and I love new lipsticks so I was excited to go and buy these.

My first trip into the city was unsuccessful. In the largest Superdrug the whole stand was completely empty which was so disappointing. Not to worry though I consoled myself with a trip to Primark and Topshop!
Then the other week we went to a smaller town to buy some last presents for Christmas and in the Superdrug there there were three different ones left on the shelves. I didn't like the look of the nude one as it just looked brown and I don't think it would have suited me. I'm drawn to pinks, peaches and my new love of pinky purples so I bought Pouty Pink and Peachy Keen.

I have to say I love the white packaging as white just looks so appealing. I love white gloss kitchens and white watches and now I have the white lipstick bullets. I like how you can unscrew the bottom of the lipsticks and you have more product contained inside as I've never seen that before!

I do prefer glossy lipsticks rather than mattes but as long as your lips aren't dry they look really effective. I make sure that I moisturise my lips with a lip butter /balm. My favourite still being my Koors. I've noticed that with my Baby lips I can smell the scent more the more vigorously I apply the balm! I switch my lip products up with the first one that I see sometimes. I like to change the colour of my lips up but prefer reliable lip balms.

The Peachy Keen seems to apply smoother to the lips whereas the Pouty Pink one seems to drag a little against the lips. The pink is my favourite out of the two though so I will just counteract by applying a smooth lipbalm beforehand.

Nail wraps Beautyuk reviewed here.
I love these gorgeous nail wraps too with the little strawberries on !
Peachy Keen

It applies to my skin tone as a toned down pink.
Pouty Pink is the inner heart here <3

 Do you have these lipsticks?

Birchbox November Unboxing 2013

Here is my unboxing for my Birchbox beauty box and my first thoughts about the products contained inside from this month.

I really loved last months box and was impressed with the amount of contents inside compared to the October Glossybox.

On first impressions this month is not one of my favourites as I just seemed to have received lots of little samples which I know it is supposed to be a sample box but I feel something is lacking this month. I've got my fingers crossed and have kept my subscription because I'm hoping that the Christmas one will be special but after than I'm not sure if I will keep it or not.

My beauty boxes seem to have all arrived at once this month and I like to get them up as soon as possible on my blog so they all appear more or less at once.

This month the theme for Birchbox is 'Icons' and getting motivation to be the best possible versions of ourselves.

All of my items were contained in a little drawstring bag again this month.
The cards that are included give ideas, quotes and tutorials and are instead of the original magazine. I do like the presentation as it is clean lined and professional even though I am a girly girl.

Weleda is a really great brand and I have used their products before which I got from The Vitality show. This will be perfect for my hair and I'm looking forward to trying it out. Full size would be £8.95.

Laura Mercier body butter- Ambre Vanille £26 if it was the full sized product.
This is a great brand which  many people were looking forward to receiving. I received mine in vanilla which is one of my favourite scents. I can't wait to use this as I love body butters.

This is an extra in the box and it's a Birchbox pencil sharpener at £3 which is not exciting but a necessity especially if you don't have twist up products.

This was really difficult to photograph as the light reflects and makes the font look unclear.
English Laundry Signature For Her Eau de Parfum from £16. This has musk inside it which I don't like but I spritzed it on my wrist and it smells really lovely and reminds me personally of Juicy Couture with a kick.
Spa Find Sculpted Silhouette Intensive Bust Firming Extract Serum £26
This can be applied to bust, decollete and neck and is said to boost collagen production, repair sun damage and improve tone and firmness.

Pukka Herbs selection of teas £2.29
The three cinnamon smells gorgeous as I love cinnamon. I like receiving these as I love food and drink and these add a little twist and they are given in the box as a lifestyle extra.

 Chella Highlighter Pencil £15.95
On first impressions I wasn't really fussed about this however I will get good use out of it to brighten and add glow to cheekbones and inner eye corners. I've not heard of this brand before and it's expensive so I hope it's a brilliant product.

Did you receive the same as me?

I think I'm  not as keen this month because there's not really anything fun inside. My favourite products are the Laura Mercier body butter and the Weleda shampoo.

After seeing all of the products for the second time I have actually warmed to it more.

Miss Glossy Box Unboxing Nov/ Dec 2013

Hello <3

My Miss Glossy arrived yesterday and it was the November/ December one and came in a red drawstring bag this time which is very festive. I look forward to getting this beauty  bag very much as it is fun and colourful. I think it is meant for a younger target audience but I am young at heart and I love it.
Miss Glossy is out every two months and I am subscribed to it. It costs £7 for the beauty box/bag which I think is a good price.

The theme for this box is to get through the winter months in style with a clear complexion, stand out eyes, fresh scents and attractive nails.

Here's my unboxing and my first initial thoughts on the products that I received.

I love how Miss Glossy box send out the items every two months in a different coloured bag. I'm not a 'red' person but I loved this bag as it made me even more excited for Christmas time. You also get a card with a message and on the back the prices and information are stated about the products.

Here are all of my products contained inside the bag this month. I received five different items this month.

These are my favourite product this month. I absolutely love the retro design and I really like nail wraps as they make your nails look special for an event/ night out. I haven't seen the other Little Mix nail designs but these ones must be based upon Jesy's cartoon dress she wore. These cost £6.

I am impressed with this as it is a full sized product and it will be really useful as I still get breakouts on my  skin. This retails at £13 so my bag was definitely worth the price I paid for it.
This is also another full sized product. I do like Jelly Pong Pong but they are expensive. This is a wearable colour and I will use it as an eyeliner. It retails at £10.50 which I would not repurchase at that price. I could get a top, ring and ruffly socks in Primark for that price.
I don't mind receiving perfume samples as long as they are pleasantly scented ones and this one is as I have used it before . 50ml would cost £38.50.
I'm not really a fan of So...? scents at all but as it is a small can and a bodyspray I'm sure I will get good use and use it up quickly. I've just sprayed it and it's actually nice ! I think it's because it reminds me of growing up as a teenager and I didn't like them then either! However smelling them again has made me change my mind a little. This product would only be £1.69 if it was a full sized product at 75ml. I received 50ml.

So that was my unboxing.

 Which is your favourite item?

#BritishBloggerSelection Week 3 Favourite clothes shop

For week 3 of #BritishBloggerSelection which is Ellie's group over at Little Vintage Camera the theme is Favourite Clothes Shop.

Clothes, clothes, clothes. I absolutely adore clothes. I love them so much that I can't fit them into eight drawers, a wardrobe and two rails. I do feel better when I have had a clear out because as the saying goes 'Tidy house, tidy mind' but I still have lots and I still want more <3

So my favourite clothes shop(s) would be Bank, Primark,  River Island and sometimes Topshop.

I adore Primark for its bargains and could happily spend half a day in there as I absolutely love it.
I love River Island for its dresses, jumpers, shoes and cutesy hats.
J'adore Topshop for its jewellery, dresses and makeup section.

However Bank is gorgeous. I cannot walk past this shop without running inside to see the new collections. I love their own brands ( my favourite being Ribbon) and I love Lipsy and Paul's boutique. I was only on their website a few days ago and there are so many utterly stunning pieces that it makes me want them all.

Here are some of my favourites and a link to their website.
(All photos taken from their website here.)

I had to stop here and get off the website quickly because I could just buy it all!
These are absolutely stunning pieces and make my heart flutter!
As you can see I love holographic, hearts, sparkles, turquoise, bling, being comfy, studs, hot pink and black <3
These items are perfect and I want them all :)
These items are perfect for the festive season and also for Christmas gifts.

What is your favourite clothes shop?

Beautyuk Lip Lust Barbie girl review

 Lip Lust in Barbie Girl

Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend. I had a very busy one and crammed in seeing nearly all of the people that I love! We travelled for four hours to where I used to live to see some of my family and friends which made me happy.

So today I've got a review on this Lip Lust from Beautyuk in a stunning sparkly pink colour which is so me! <3

I was drawn to this Beautyuk lip lust in the shade 05 '*Barbie Girl' straight away because of it's amazing colour, the name 'Barbie girl' and the glittery sparkle that this has.
These three factors just wanted to make me own this product straight away.
There are eleven different shades in this collection, one being a clear gloss and the others being variants of pinks and reds.

Packaging:
The lid is a screw cap which is easy to remove and the Lip Lust has a sponge applicator for a smooth application onto the lips.
The Lip Lust is compact yet still contains lots of product and would  be great for on-the-go usage.
I love how you can see more or less all of the product sparkling inside the container and this looks prettier than it all being hid away. This beauty needs to be on show which it is.

Price:
These are priced at a very reasonable £2.99 and you can buy them here or at Superdrug, Select or Internacionale stores.

Performance:
I love how the product sparkles inside the container like gemstones and the colour is a bright Barbie pink. On application, the Lip Lust retains its sparkle and is more of a subtle pink on the lips.
You squeeze the tube to release as much product as you desire and then the sponge tip makes it easy to cover the shape of your lips.
The Lip Lust feels smoothing on my lips and lasts a few hours before it needs a touch up.
I personally  don't like sticky lip glosses at all, especially when your hair blows in the wind and you look as though you have a mammoth mustache so I am pleased to say that this does not happen with the Lip Lust . It doesn't feel sticky when you pout your lips together it just feels smooth even with the sparkle inside it.
With fingertip touch it has a very slight stick to it so this to me is incredibly wearable.

I would definitely recommend these Lip Lusts and like the look of 'Oh Baby' too which is a pale pink.

Glossybox November Unboxing 2013

I received my Glossybox this morning and, as ever, was excited to see what it contained.
Here is what is contained in my box this month. I am really happy with this month's selection of goodies :)
I had enough Glossydots to order this for free so that makes it even better.
I've always loved Glossybox but was disappointed with my box last month for the first time as it lacked products and substance for me. This month they are back on fine form with an array of beauts.

The November edition has the magazine with it, just like last months.

Beautiful presentation.

Lots of contents included this month.

Emite Make Up Micronized Eyeshadow- Dams £16.80
I received the black shade which will last me ages as I will only wear a tiny bit to blend.
Oh my goodness £16.80 for an eyeshadow? Woahhhh! I think this is the most expensive single eyeshadow I have ever owned.
Was there different colours distributed for these or were they all black?

Vichy Idealia Life Serum 2x 3ml of serum and 1x 3ml of Smoothing and Illuminating cream. This would be £29.50 for 30ml.
I love the cute little drawstring bag that the products are in. This item made me smile because it just looks super cute.
Elegant Touch Nail Remover Polish Pads £2 for 20 pads.
I don't actually have any nail polish remover at the moment so this will be extremely useful. Especially when I review nail polishes frequently. I've not used these before either so it will be good to review them.
Gosh Cosmetics- Velvet Touch Lipstick 148 Sundown Full size £6.49
I was really pleased to receive a lipstick in my box. I own a couple of orange lipsticks but they aren't as vibrant as this one so I can't wait to try it out.
Yves Rocher France Hand Cream Full size £1.95
Oh my goodness this is divine. It's like rubbing a Terry's chocolate orange all over my hands with the chocolate mess! My new favourite hand cream. Chocolate and fruit are my favourite scents- Definitely a winner.

Overall I'm incredibly happy with my contents this month <3
I love the handcream, lipstick, nail polish remover pads and the Vichy serum samples.

Did you get the same as me?

Scruffy Chops' shampoo and conditioner for Alfie 'woof-woof-woobarb'

The lovely people at Scruffy Chops sent me over some of their products to use on Alfie.
We were sent the *Rhubarking Mad natural mineral dog shampoo which is in a rhubarb and custard scent along with *Muddy Marvellous which is a deep sea mud conditioner. Both of them can be purchased here.

Our puppy Alfie is now six months old and has a huge personality :) He is a whippet and very mischievous! He enjoys running and jumping in the field and particularly now that it is Autumn time he gets all muddy. He's happy to run through mud and bite soil but he won't stand on the leaves that have fallen on the ground. I don't think he trusts them. He only likes when they are fluttering in the wind so that he can chase them. Which is where these fabulous new products for my little Scruffy Chops comes in very handy to not only wash away dirt but to take care of his skin too.

The package contents. Look how adorable that puppy is!

Rhubarking Mad shampoo

Muddy Marvellous conditioner

 Packaging:
I love the packaging that the shampoo and conditioner is contained in. They remind me of squeezy yoghurts. It also ensure that they stand out from the competition as it is different from other dog shampoos that are available on the market.
The cap at the top is easy to open and you simply squeeze out the desired amount of shampoo or conditioner with ease.
The logo is clear, large and easy to read. I also really like the illustration of the doggy on the packet too as it makes it super cute and I would be drawn to this in itself and buy it.
The names of the products are really inventive too and comical. The other ones available are 'Sugar Doggy' and 'Zest in Show!'

Price:
The Rhubarking Mad shampoo retails at £5.99 and the Muddy Marvellous conditioner costs £6.99 to purchase.

Performance:
Not only is the packaging brilliant but the scent of the shampoo smells good enough to eat. They contain 98% of natural ingredients and left Alfie's fur feeling soft and cared for.
The shampoo contains dead sea minerals, oatmeal, Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5 and these help to keep your dog's skin healthy, well hydrated and irritant free. This has helped soothe Alfie's skin as on his back he had a dry flaky patch and pinker skin in this little area.
The conditioner contains dead sea minerals, oatmeal, Aloe Vera, Shea butter and jojoba seed oil. The oatmeal helps to mend dry, irritated or itchy skin.
The shampoo was easy to squeeze out and apply. You simply put a thin line from the neck to the tail, then massage and leave to soak in for a few minutes and rinse. This left him clean and smelling divine.
Alfie couldn't believe his luck when he realised he was going to be conditioned too! The formula is smooth and again easy to apply. I massaged it in and left it to work its natural mineral magic.

I then dried him carefully and he dashed off to have a mad do and proceeded to jump on the bed and dig up the duvet cover and hide under the pillows. I think he is overwhelmed with how good he smells :)

I would definitely repurchase Scruffy Chops when I finish these products as they are safe to use and don't contain any nasties. They come highly recommended from me and Alfie.
Thank you again to the people at Scruffy Chops :)
Alfie isn't yet aware of the showery goodness of the Rhubarking Mad!

"Mummy put the Woobarb on me again!"
Laura and Alfie xoxo
