Mini May Primark Haul And A Blog Win #BEDM

I won these gorgeous good from Ale whose blog I follow over at I am a Weapon Of Massive Consumption. I adore the holographic turquoise glitter nail polish so much an need to try this out very soon. I prefer the coloured Babylips to the plain so this peach one is great. I needed a new blush too and I love the idea of it being in a stick for ease of application. The Body Shop Ginger Sprinkles hand cream smells so yummy! Thank you so much Ale!

Here are some pressies that my mum had bought me the last time that I went down to see my family. The Barbie tops are so much fun and I have a growing collection of these now. I'm wearing one today with a pair of black disco pants that are really versatile too. I love the jelly Juju silver glitter sandals and have worn them without socks and they were actually pretty comfortable. I remember jelly sandals as a child hurting after a while. I'm going to team them with my Topshop frilly ankle socks for a cute look too. I love Disney, especially the princesses, so this sweetie case will double up as a makeup holder afterwards too.

I love reading magazines so much and always have. I always read New! magazine, subscribe to Glamour and get others if they have freebies with them. I used to love More magazine and was gutted when they stopped publishing it. I love looking at the new high street fashion that's available, beauty edits and the celebrity news. Glamour is £1 this month but for subscribers it still has the £2 label on it. The Elle has the Benefit Porefessional freebie with it which feels so soft and I already own this but it's good to have replacements. The InStyle magazine is not one I usually read as to me there's not that much inside but this month it came with a Nails Inc polish so I got the prettiest pink. Also they are only £2.50 in Tesco which is a bargain.

This has kick started my want for an arrange of coloured sandals now in mainly pink and pastels.

Love Laura xoxo

B. Live life beautifully

A few weeks ago I won a competition with Fabulous magazine and received a Superdrug goody bag which contained make-up items for the brand B. which is exclusively available from Superdrug.
I had not heard of the brand B. before so now that I have received the products I will try them out. Superdrug had popped it in a pink bubble-wrapped mailbag which I loved!

On first impressions the packaging is simple and quite plain and I would have quite easily bypassed this range as it is not eye-catching. The logo is clear and simple but doesn't really suit my personality and what I would personally choose. I am a sucker for packaging.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the quality of the products is like. I like how they are not tested on animals.

The B. range includes skincare and make-up.

"We believe in every woman’s instinct to recognise and appreciate the beauty that surrounds her. From people and places, to sights and sounds.

We’re here to give every woman the knowledge and tools to feel her most beautiful every day. Our skincare and makeup is specially formulated to really work and is designed to be easy to use and understand.
It’s our vision to be part of what makes you and your life beautiful.

Live life beautifully."

B. products are not tested on animals and have the leaping bunny symbol of Cruelty Free International (formerly BUAV).
  •
The B. range is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. All products have been dermatologically approved and are paraben-free.

  • At the moment Superdrug have an offer on where you buy one and get your second item half price.

    The products I received were;
Lipstick in Bellini £7.99 A coral colour. Love the name too as I love cocktails!
Rejuvenating serum Skin phase- full size is £13.99 for 30ml. I received a 5ml mini tube.
    B. Stunning vibrant eye shimmer in the shade 146 Royal £6.99 which is a purple colour with shimmer. On first initial thoughts, it's not my preferred make-up colour as it goes with green eyes more and mine are blue but I will try it out.
    B. B.B cream £10.99 a complete 6 in 1 beauty balm with spf 15 in the shade medium. I'm looking forward to trying that out.
    B. Smokey eyeliner £4.49 in the shade chocolate. It has a smudger on one end too. I'm looking forward to trying this out to see if it is soft and blendable.
    B. Quick 4-in-1 cleansing wipes £3.50 for 25 wipes.
    B. Complete Nail Polish £4.99 in the shade Bubblegum which is so me. If I was in store and got to choose I would definitely buy this shade. I hope it lasts a long time as it states as I find that polish chips really easily on my nails.

Thankyou Superdrug- I received a variety of products that I was lucky enough to win!

Have you tried out anything from this range before?

    Weekend treats!

At the weekend we travelled back down to England to see my family. I was so excited as I haven't been back down since I moved to Edinburgh five weeks ago. We took Alfie all the way down with us to meet my mum, dad and brother's dog Ruby who is also a whippet. Alfie's confidence grew so much as he followed Ruby out for walks and had someone to jump on. My two Persians don't appreciate a flying puppy landing on them! Seeing Ruby again was so lovely but she looked like she had changed so much. She's so big compared to Alfie who has turned 14 weeks old today!
I met my baby cousin who was adorable, visited grandma and granddad, had Chinese food, watched X-Men ( the latest one) and the X- Factor. I love spending time with the people who matter the most. It's like food for the soul.

    Here are my weekend treats.

Saw the new Company magazine in Sainsbury's and had to have it and it comes with a free eyeliner- bonus!
My Glamour magazine had been delivered to my mum and dad's house.
My mum brought me back some little treats from Primark. Oh I adore Primark so much. I am getting withdrawal symptoms because I haven't been in about 8 weeks now. I love getting bags of goodies from there! I bought so much there in the last few years that the amount of hauls I would have had would have been unbelievable! oops!
A hot pink, twist leatheresque studded bracelet reduced to £1  (One of my favourite colours)
    Glittery nails £1
A pack of 3 necklaces neon and skulls £2 - I absolutely love neon colours and love skull jewellery! I love these.
Chocolate face mask £1- I've tried Montagne Jeunesse face masks before on girly nights in and they are always fun and I'm quite impressed with the quality. I hope this one smells of chocolate- although I might try and lick it off which won't taste very pleasant I'm sure!

Sweeties! There's a new sweetie shop just opened near to where I used to live in Lancashire that sells old-fashioned/ retro sweets. I had to go in and stock up on some goodies to take back with me. These will last me a long time as I don't eat sweets that regularly. I probably will now that I have bought them though! I was like a child in a toyshop. I just stared at the containers on the shelves for about twenty minutes, span round and then declared that I didn't know what to get. I used to do this when I was little too! Decisions, decisions!

From left to right I bought (after half an hour!)
20 chocolate cups- I remember these from when I was a lot younger. The chocolate used to be so good inside! I haven't actually tried one yet - can you believe the will power ?!
Sugared almonds- I love almonds and these last a long time- yum.
Cherry lips- Not everyone's cup of tea at all as they taste a bit like perfumed soap. I used to buy the Floral gums and they would last me for ages. I needed some more cherry lips in my life!
Aniseed drops- I've never actually had these before but I like aniseed so it must be a win win.
Finally, almond nougat. I've never had this before but my other half said that it's amazing and his favourite so I got double the amount.

So there we have my weekend treats!

    What did you get?
