December 2015 Primark Haul

So today I arrived at Primark at 8:30am and honestly it's the best time to go. Next time I will be getting up super early as this is the new way to shop. There were hardly any customers in and so I could browse at my own leisure and twirl and touch everything to my hearts content. It's a new store that has opened fifteen minutes away from me and you can park right outside it which is just perfect.

I was lucky to receive a gift card and money for Christmas and so I thought about what I actually needed beforehand. This is a big change for me as usually I just grab whatever I liked and then when I get the items home I was finding it hard to co-ordinate with other items I already have.

So the first item here are some snuggly pyjamas. I don't know about you but all I want to do in my house (in life) is be super snug and warm. I loved the rainbow and little hearts and these felt so thick and soft that I had to get them. I had seen some Care Bear ones on Instagram but they never have any in when I go unfortunately but I'm really happy with these ones.
These were £12 which are a little higher than other years but a bargain if you compare to other shops.

Now this is such a Laura item. Bambi is adorable and I've made an improvement with getting grey as it goes with everything. I still can't resist some uber cuteness. I just wanted something to pull on to be casual and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this. This was also £12. I'm not sure how well the print will wash though? Hopefully it will be fine.

I needed some more plain bottoms so that my tops will go with them and so I opted for this chevron pair with an elastic waist as there's nothing worse than jeans digging in. I then put these grey joggers in my basket too and they have a tight fit at the ankles to pull them in. Both pairs were £6 each which I thought was a great price. I love pants like these as they are so easy to pull on and wear. They require little thought for busy days.

Next I got some accessories. I didn't see any jewellery that I liked at all which is a first and so I just picked up some essentials that I will use regularly. I always need black socks and these are such a good price at £2 for five pairs. The quality is quite good and I find them to last quite a while.
I then got three pairs of black tights for £5. I love the thicker ones as I ladder thin ones so they're a complete waste of my time. I've got some skirts coming from an online shop I did so these are a necessity.
I need slippers as I don't like it in winter when you walk on the floor and your feet are cold. They're so hard to warm up so the more slippers the better. My dogs pinch my slippers all the time so it's rare that I can find  a pair.
I got the most boring brown bobbles that I have ever bought in my life but I thought you know what, at least they'll match my hair and blend in rather than the neon ones I usually get. Also where do bobbles disappear to ? I'm on my last one and I borrowed that one from my best friend too and didn't return it! How good is 50 bobbles for £1?
I love Reese's pieces and so, on a whim, I put this lip balm into my basket. It smells of chocolate more than peanut but this might change after I use it. It was £1.50.

I really needed some new winter boots and was looking for a biker style and flat as I needed to be able to walk in them easily. There were so many with heels on which would be ok for a night out but not for everyday. I spotted these ones and they are so sturdy and excellent quality. The inside also has a furry lining too to keep feet nice and snug. They only had a size up from mine left and I couldn't find any others so I tried them on and they actually fit. These were £15 and I'll get great wear out of these.

Finally I bought this cardigan for £12 which I'll be able to pull on over tonnes of outfits. I really needed something to keep me warm and pop over shirts and dresses that matched what I already had on. This one is perfect and thick.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas (if you celebrate it.)

A few new Primark goodies

Hi everyone,
Apologies for a large gap in posting. I have been searching for a job and started a new one recently so have been completing training and my shifts are all different. We're also moving house next month too so a lot of organising and time spent thinking about new appliances. We bought the most gorgeous retro looking microwave the other day too which will look great with the American diner theme we are going for.
So here are a few goodies from Primark that my mum bought me. She knows me so well. These are all recent so should still be in store now.
The baby blue robot top was in the sale for £1.50 and is meant to be a lounge top but I wore it out as a regular top.

I love clips to quiff up the front section of my hair and these ones are rainbow crystal- my faves! (One is missing from the picture as I wore it and put it somewhere!)

I love Unicorns and this tote bag has a gorgeous print on it. Primark sell a variety of these up near the tills and I think it was £1.50.

I love flat ballet shoes as they are so versatile and these ones were £4. The hot pink play suit was around £5 and will be fab for the hot weather we are having and also to take on holidays.
I have a thing for My Little Pony designs recently too and this rainbow pops against the grey.

Finally my pastel blue boxy bag. I adore pastels and this handbag is so cute and holds quite a lot inside.

What goodies have you bought recently?

Mini May Primark Haul And A Blog Win #BEDM

I won these gorgeous good from Ale whose blog I follow over at I am a Weapon Of Massive Consumption. I adore the holographic turquoise glitter nail polish so much an need to try this out very soon. I prefer the coloured Babylips to the plain so this peach one is great. I needed a new blush too and I love the idea of it being in a stick for ease of application. The Body Shop Ginger Sprinkles hand cream smells so yummy! Thank you so much Ale!

Here are some pressies that my mum had bought me the last time that I went down to see my family. The Barbie tops are so much fun and I have a growing collection of these now. I'm wearing one today with a pair of black disco pants that are really versatile too. I love the jelly Juju silver glitter sandals and have worn them without socks and they were actually pretty comfortable. I remember jelly sandals as a child hurting after a while. I'm going to team them with my Topshop frilly ankle socks for a cute look too. I love Disney, especially the princesses, so this sweetie case will double up as a makeup holder afterwards too.

I love reading magazines so much and always have. I always read New! magazine, subscribe to Glamour and get others if they have freebies with them. I used to love More magazine and was gutted when they stopped publishing it. I love looking at the new high street fashion that's available, beauty edits and the celebrity news. Glamour is £1 this month but for subscribers it still has the £2 label on it. The Elle has the Benefit Porefessional freebie with it which feels so soft and I already own this but it's good to have replacements. The InStyle magazine is not one I usually read as to me there's not that much inside but this month it came with a Nails Inc polish so I got the prettiest pink. Also they are only £2.50 in Tesco which is a bargain.

This has kick started my want for an arrange of coloured sandals now in mainly pink and pastels.

Mini haul including Primark for Spring.

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a fab weekend. We all got two of the Mother's day meals from M&S and it was delicious. I absolutely love their food. We got the turkey and honey glazed gammon with vegetables, parsnips and roast potatoes. The desserts we chose were the Sicilian lemon cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding. Desserts are my favourite.
Last night we finished the Once Upon A Time season 2 and it's so good! A recommended watch if you've not seen it already. I love anything to do with Fairytales so this was right up my street.
I've missed writing on my blog (even though it's only been Friday since I last wrote.) Sometimes I think too much and wondered where it was going but the best advice is to just go with the flow like I have always done. Maybe I should plan my posts? For me it just comes naturally. I wake up and think "Oh yes I'll blog about that today." For me, for now, this is the best way. I also realised that I hadn't posted on Instagram for five days too, so now I've added more photos there too. Instagram and blogging make me happy so maybe unconsciously I just needed a refreshing break.

So onto the haul :) I have collected these items up from the past few week and popped them altogether. Most of the are from Primark, some are from my best friend and the bag is from River Island.
Let's take a look at what I have got.

First up is this neon orange satchel from River Island. It looks much brighter than the photograph. I love neons and this will be perfect for summer time. It was in the sale for £10 and my mum bought it me as a gift.

Inside is pretty spacious to say it's a cute sized satchel. It has the zip compartment to keep items safe and the two spaces that you can see here.

I love statement necklaces as they make an outfit much prettier. I love all of the coloured gems and bright or pastel colours. This was a gift from my best friend for my Birthday so I'm not sure where it's from. I love the corally pinky colour of this.

Two more pairs of sandals from Primark. The ones on the left are a lovely nude colour and will go with so many outfits. They were only £4. The daisy flower ones on the right were new out and they are so pretty. I think these were either £6 or £8. I now have more sandals than I do actual shoes!

The heart diamante charms are cute and I have this style from last year too in a few different colours.

This top was £6 from Primark and I love the cupcake design on it. I'm drawn to sweet candy clothing like moth to a flame!

Another Barbie top to add to my growing collection! There weren't may of these left so I got an oversized one. I think it was £6. I adore Barbie and Ken. I would buy Sindy if they brought out her items instead.

These floral pink polka flannels are only £1.50 for two and they have matching towels too. I love the design.

Accessories make me happy. The Barbie socks were £2.50 per pair. I love the collection of socks that they have brought out. I bought the doughnut ones back in January. I found though that when you put them on the design stretches too much! I adore hair bandos and this rainbow crystal one is beautiful. The set of three bracelets were an absolute bargain for £2 as they are gorgeous. The mint nail polish is a gorgeous colour and I will test it out to see the formula and lasting power. What a great price though. I also love Minnie Mouse so this Lip Smacker was irresistible.

These three are all from Primark too and the little owl is a mirror.

I found these in Poundland on Saturday and needed to get them again. I used to have these years ago and I've just tasted one and didn't like it at first until it changed colour and tatse! They had the Nerds too.

How gorgeous is this plastic folder from Paperchase that the bestie bought me and popped my Birthday pressies inside? I love the colourful design and the unicorn and fairies.

Pretty W7 nail beads, a unicorn mirror, crochet hearts, set of three infinity rings and a Paris bracelet. She also bought me a diamante Barbie phone case which I've forgotten to photograph.

These are the crochet hearts that she has been learning to do.

I love these origami butterflies and the heart that she made me :)

Fairy Glitter nails

Hello and happy Wednesday! It's so sunshiny outside today again.

Yesterday I painted my nails using a new nail art kit that I bought from Primark at Christmas time and discovered again yesterday when I looked through my blogging bag. Always a bonus. I also used the pink ice cream nail polish that I got in my stocking at Christmas.
I adore glitter (as you can tell by the name of my blog!) I think that that sparkliness can brighten everything up.

Primark Nail Glitter kit.
 Review of the polishes <3
So here is the kit that I bought from Primark which is one of my favourite shops ever. So many pretty items can be found in there. It's like a treasure trove. I think this kit was either £2 or £2.50. I love the iridescent glitter and don't own a white polish so in the basket it went.

The kit has a white polish, a generous bottle of glitter and it was meant to have a funnel too to help put unused glitter back in but mine was missing from the box and it was sealed too.

I also used the pink ice-cream polish that is from Etude House. I tried to blog about this polish before and it was a disaster. I painted my nails, added a further coat which was too much and it smudged all over. So here's take 2.
The white polish after one coat is streaky but applied easily. I just poured the glitter straight onto the wet nail and it dried quickly. I made sure that there was cardboard to catch the excess glitter so that I could pour it back into the bottle afterwards. I really love the effects of this and it lasted a good day until I went in the shower this morning and it has chipped badly.
The Etude House polish paints on thickly and it was hard for me to get it to be even. Two coats didn't make it better for me personally either as it was too thick. I love the cute bottles and I would buy the other shades too for decoration purposes and for accent nails!

Gorgeous glitter fairy nails. I definitely think that this kit is worth the £2 or so that it cost but I wouldn't recommend just to wear the white coat of polish on its own. The glitter is what makes it.

Embellish Pink polish and Multi Nail Beads Review

Happy Sunday everyone,

I hope you are well. Yesterday we went to see the new 300 film at the cinema and it was brilliant. It had me gripped and I ate my sweet popcorn like no tomorrow! Tonight will be spent watching Once Upon A Time season 2- one of my favourite shows.

So onto the nail kit which was a bargainous £2.50 from Primark. The kit comes with a neon pink Barbie polish, multi-coloured metallic beads and a little funnel to make it easier to place unused beads back into the pot.

I've not actually tried the caviar beads before even though I have the Ciate and they have been around for a while. I think it's the sunshine that motivated me to try something new and ta-da my nails have been Princessed.

Embellish 3d Manicure set from Primark.

I painted each finger with one coat of the pink polish and added beads, whilst the polish was still wet, to my thumb and ring fingers.
I caught any spare beads into the plastic tray which was inside the box as you can see on the photo above.
It was a lot easier to do than I had anticipated.

Here is the finished result with only one coat of polish on each finger. The polish was easy to apply and wasn't streaky. The polish and beads look really effective and would be perfect for a night out or simply to brighten up a day.

The edges of the nails with the beads on are quite easily knocked so they would require a touch up but for a fun few hours these are perfect. The beads are quite hard to get out of the plastic tub due to static and a lot of them just bounced and landed on the floor so next time it would be better to use a paper or card tray.

Have you tried caviar beads before?

My Primark Birthday Haul

Hello everyone!

Last Tuesday was my Birthday and so at the weekend I took a trip to Primark in the city with my Birthday money/ Primark card that my family kindly gifted to me. I was poorly but nothing much will keep me away from one of my favourite stores. A few years ago I wouldn't have a care in the world and would just pick up whatever I liked. If that meant ten dresses then so be it! However fast-forward a few years and  I have started to think about what I actually want/need before I go shopping. Especially when I have a budget, I now think carefully about what items to buy.

I knew this time I needed flat shoes, pyjamas, new onesie and some underwear. The rest of the items I bought were pretty bonus Birthday items. The items I have chosen are bright, colourful, quirky and very girly. I know exactly what I like with clothes and the brighter the better! But saying that I do have black, navy blue and skull items so it just depends.

Also is it just me that crams that much into their basket that you've then go to decide the final cut before you go to the till? Anyways here are my gorgeous items that I absolutely love.

I love neon items and loved the colour of this jumper. It was also on sale for £5 and so was the skirt for £3. I love getting good deals. I thought the two would actually look great together but also separately with other items in my wardrobe/rail/drawers (ahem.)

I saw this pastel statement necklace and loved it straight away. It was £6 and I wore it to the Missoni on Sunday with my aqua bow dress. It looked beautiful.

This is a hot pink dress (a shift) that has a detachable statement jewelled collar with it. I loved the colour of it and I also love how it has the jewels. It was £13 and will be perfect for Spring. In fact I might wear it this Saturday night.

So cute! I have my Bambi ones and Minnie Mouse ones of these slippers but Minnie has turned into Mickey because Alfie tore the bows off them and ran off. I love being comfy and so when I spotted these for half price (£2) I wanted them as they are really cute.

I needed a new water bottle for either exercising or taking Alfie long walks and I loved the colour of this one! They also had it in neon green too but I only needed one. Although for £1.50 they're an absolute bargain! I also got these gift bags which are two in a pack for 50p each. They're gorgeous and will be perfect for popping peoples' presents inside.

This is the other statement necklace that I bought. It's pastel pink an has diamantes so therefore I love it and it was £5.

I saw these pyjamas and I needed them. I love the candy pink of the shorts and I love the milkshake! These were £5. Especially with it becoming warmer I can no longer fall asleep in my onesie as one time I woke up and I thought I was in the desert I was that hot!

I originally went to get the rainbow and clouds onesie as it is so prettiful :) I saw it last time but put it back and bought a jacket and some leggings instead. Do you know when you can't get something out of your head? Well this was the onesie. I spotted it and just before I grabbed it I fell in love with the aqua dinosaur one! I nearly put one back but decided to get both in the end. Don't want any regrets do I! The rainbow one was £10 and the dinosaur was £11. They must be putting up the prices for the new ones.

I saw these daisy nails just before I went to the till and got them on a whim as I thought they would be perfect for Spring time and also because  have quite a lot of blue dresses and also a yellow skater one that they will look beautiful with. The cupcake ones are just beautiful. I have them in purple and needed these as soon as I saw them.

I love the pink polka and the bows so these also went into the basket and look at these gorgeous ombre blue nails with glitter!

New shoesies! I use to have so many flats in every single colour but all of a sudden they just needed to be thrown out due to wear. I have way too many sandals and I saw them in the store already and resisted. I love the pink and orange flats and the pretty detail inside. These were £4 each. I saw the biker boots just on their own on a stand. They were my size and reduced from £18 to £10 so they were meant to be. I love biker boots and wore my last ones until the heel was so worn down. I just find that they go with so many outfits and rock it up a bit.

I saw a clutch bag with this cartoon style on too but I resisted. I have tooooo many bags and so only buy ones that I think I need in my life. All nails were £1 each!

The best socks ever for £2. Donuts oh my word gorgeous. I started off with lots of socks like these but had to put them back as I started to run over budget. I put Barbie and Alice in Wonderland back and would have loved those too.

Oh my goodness I spotted these and needed them straight away. A donut top and an ice-cream top! £5 each and possibly the prettiest items in my wardrobe :)

Disney items <3 Love this top. It was £6. I really like the colours on it and the repeated pattern. I saw these princess nail files and bought them because they will look great on my dressing table on display. They were only £1.50 for five. I love this Minnie Mouse tub collection too. It contains another little tub inside of it and will either be perfect for my lunches at work or for popping nail art inside of them.

I bought two different shades of this Hello Kitty lipstick but one has disappeared! They were £1.50 each and I love the vibrant colour of the pink. The other one I bought was a coral colour. They had four different shades in store.

So that's my Birthday Primark haul and I love every piece I chose. I did buy underwear but haven't photographed it and also bought my mum a couple of items for Mother's Day too.

What's your favourite piece?

Love Laura xoxo
