What's In My November Glossybox?

Hello. I hope you are all well.

Today I have my November Glossybox unboxing to show you. I thought I had received it last week and then I got a sudden realisation that it was my missing August box that has only just been resent. It took from August until last week to sort it out and get it resent which is disappointing to say the least.

Anyway onto this November box. In my e-mail box everyone was sent a spoiler to say that each box was going to contain a Burt's Bees lip product which I was looking forward to receiving. I do love beauty boxes but I'm not sure after Christmas whether I am going to continue with them as I want my Kawaii ones and foodie ones instead. We shall see.

The products were contained in the luxury pink Glossy box with tissue paper, sticker and paper crinkles. It always looks impressive does Glossybox and it's a lovely treat to arrive through the post.
If you're not familiar with Glossybox, it's a monthly subscription box which contains beauty items and costs £10 plus £3.25 postage and packaging per month. If you pay month by month as you go on, you can unsubscribe at any time.

On first glimpse I was impressed by the contents. I was pleased to see that there is a contents card with information and prices on this month as I didn't like it being online. I was used to having a card in there for quick reference.

I adore hair care. I could stare at it in Boots for the longest time. I am in search of a miracle, softening and glossy product that makes my curls look fab without any frizz. I can't wait to try out this OGX Argan Oil Of Morocco Shampoo. The oil contained inside is said to rapidly reach the hair shaft and restore shine, soften and strengthen the hair. The full size of this is only £3 for 385ml so if I like it I will certainly be purchasing the full size. The size I received was a dinky 88.7ml. Some subscribers may have received the conditioner instead which I would usually prefer. I needed more shampoo though so I'm happy.

I love eyeliner as it makes my eyes stand out. Without it my eyes look really bare and I notice a difference. I've not heard of this Lollipops Make Up Eye Pencil before but I love the name of the brand! On the card it states that it's international and when searching the website it says that the products are made in France and Italy. I'm liking the look of their lipsticks as well as other products very much. I love that this pencil is twist-up-able as I can never be bothered finding a sharpener. Usually once it's gone blunt I just reach for a new one so with twistables I can use them to the end.
I love the pink and gold leopard packaging and love how it contains Vitamin E with anti-aging and anti-radical action. I love, love, love that the pencil glides on like a dream too. I get rid of pencils that you need to exert effort or drag across the skin and I can tell already that this is going to be an absolute dream. I will get lots of use out of this product.
The eye pencil costs 14 euros.

Next we have this Monu Skincare- Refining Capri Facial Oil which was so hard to photograph with the days getting darker earlier and the white text on the bottle. The full size of this oil would be £26 for 100ml and I received 30ml.
"An invigorating facial oil to balance oily skin and decongest pores to ensure that breakouts remain a thing of the past."
The oil contans grape seed, Camphor ( I had to google what this is and it's a white crystalline substance with an aromatic scent and is found in essential oils) and citrus oils. I unscrewed the lid and  sniffed it and I can smell lemons in there.

Oooo I love lip products and haven't had anything from Burt's Bees before. This costs £6.99 and I'm really happy with the shade Pucker that I received.
"100% natural, sheer colour enriched with moisturising Apricot Wax glides on lips for a sweet and super shiny finish.. so your lips shine as much as your personality."
This smells deliciously sweet like strawberries and glided on my lips. It feels really moisturising on my lips too. If you touch it, it does have that slightly sticky feeling.

Last but not least I received this H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment which would cost £27.50 full sized which is 50ml. I received 8ml in a small tube. You can buy the full size from Marks & Spencer's.
"This oil-free moisture gel delivers deep hydration while minimising the appearance of fine lines." I usually leave skin products in little tubes but this actually sounds good so I'm going to make a point of trying this out.

So that's November's Glossybox. I do like this box and feel that they are improving and getting back to their roots of where they first started.
My favourite products this month are the shampoo, eye pencil and Burt's Bees.

What do you think of this box? Did you get one too?

Love Laura xoxo
Oh and the invitation is to use on a website that has designer clothes and I got a £20 voucher to use. I haven't been on the site so I'm not sure how far this £20 will go.

Denman Pink Tangle Smoother Review

I have been trying out the new Denman Pink Tangle Smoother recently and can now give you my thoughts and review on it. It is made to be used on all hair lengths and types and also extensions and wigs due to the pins being strong, durable and super smooth. The brush has been designed to give an effortless and smooth detangling experience.
The Smoother has a close-set pin patterns and this gives more control and an extra grip.
The brush is also available in a bright yellow colour too here and is priced at £10.18. Neon was widely used on the SS14 catwalks and therefore this Smoother coincides with the latest fashion.

Design:
Compared to my other Tangle Tamers this brush is much more substantial. It's feels solid with a longer handle to grip and is weightier than the Dolphin brush.
I love the bright pink colour of the brush as it really stands out and is perfect for my personality. I love the design work on it too with the lush flowing locks. The brush overall looks and feels exceptional quality.

Performance:
The Denman Tangle Smoother is perfect for smoothing, de-tangling and styling your hair. I noticed a huge difference in my hair after using this Tangle Smoother. My hair felt a lot smoother to the touch especially once it had air dried after my shower. The Tangle Smoother is meant for all hair types and lengths but I think it would be perfect for long, thick hair as it has the extra oomph when getting knots out. For my particular hair type being wavy/ curly it pulls on the hair when you are trying to untangle it in the shower and I have got used to the children's Dolphin Tangle Tamer with the much softer bristles for untangling my waves. Using  the Tangle Smoother felt as though there were many knots that it was taking out at once and it took a stronger grip to brush through my hair. This is why you are meant to brush through a section at a time and gently hold you hair above the tangle and then carefully untangle.

You can see that the pins on the brush are all the same size and are strong.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this Tangle Smoother if you're looking for an excellent quality brush which will last. The pins are super smooth but on my particular hair I feel more comfortable using my Dolphin one regularly in the shower and this one when my hair is dried and ready to style.

What do you use to detangle your hair?

Denman's Hair Fitness For Men

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well.

With Father's Day arriving this Sunday I thought I would show you a couple of small presents I am giving to my dad. My dad loves fishing and antiques so I have got him a few surprises too. He styles his hair quickly and without fuss so the black design of these are perfect for him. I have previously reviewed Denman's brushes and love them so what better way to give great quality products.

The latest range by Denman is 'Hair Fitness for Men' and here I have the *Easycare Styling brush which retails for £5 and The *Carbon Pocket Comb which is £2.50.

The design of the tools are made to optimise hair and scalp health with the Easycare brush having super-soft pins that gently massage the scalp to encourage blood flow. The pocket comb has carbon fibre infused in it which makes it incredibly durable and also prevents against static to ensure that there aren't any fly-aways. (We can't have them going out with their hair out of place can we?!) Again the design is gentle on the scalp and the wide yet narrow teeth enables a range of styles to the hair.
I love the new designs that Denman bring out and not only do they think of the design of the product, they think of the benefits that are needed for hair too.

The Hair Fitness for men is available in selected Boots stores.

Love Laura xoxo

RICH pure luxury instense moisture shampoo

I have almost used all of this RICH pure luxury intensive moisture shampoo and therefore I can give it a thorough review. I'd not seen this brand readily available before and on researching to find where it was stocked,  I found that it is based in Champs-Elyesées.

Packaging:
The shampoo is enclosed in a medium- thickness plastic tube with a secure screw bottom lid.
The shimmery gold tube makes it appear expensive as it reminds me of royalty.
The logo is elaborately adorned and features a crown above the 'RICH' text.

Price:
You can buy it direct from their website for 12.90€ for 250ml.
I only had a 80ml tube and it lasted me for quite a while.

Performance:
Here's what they have to say about their product;

" A truly extravagant daily shampoo that delivers intense moisture & shine.

Hair is gently cleansed whilst Pro-Vitamin B5 strengthens dry, damaged areas. Aloe Vera Extract moisturises & hydrates and Avocado Oil leaves hair feeling soft & smooth.

Derivatives of Coconut Oil help reduce static and ensure hair looks truly exquisite and full of shine. Ideal for all hair types especially dry and chemically treated hair. "

This sounded perfect for my hair type as being naturally curly it needs moisture as it can get dry and also I have highlights too.

I found this to be a thick, moisturising shampoo that did leave my hair feeling softer and a lot shinier when it caught the light.
The scent  is reminiscent of a hair salon with the professional aroma and I find it very pleasant to use.
It does add a little moisture to my hair however I feel that maybe if I used the rest of the products together in the range this would increase the performance it has for me and it does actually state this on the back of the packaging.
I wouldn't say that it repaired my damaged hair as the only way to do this is with a haircut but it can improve the texture and shine temporarily.

I would definitely repurchase this again as it is a luxurious shampoo and it has great features that actually work.

Have you ever used this shampoo before? What did you think?

Joico colour endure violet shampoo

Joico color endure violet shampoo

I bought this Joico shampoo from my hairdressers as I have blonde highlighted hair and it is used to neutralise any brassy tones you may have.

I use this once a week and use shampoo and conditioner also. As I only use a two pence sized amount per time this has lasted me absolutely ages and they have now changed the colour of the bottle from purple to red.

I bought it for £12 and for the amount of time it has lasted, is an incredibly good deal.
You can buy it here and here for £12.95 from Amazon and LookFantastic.

Here's what Joico state about their product.

"Violet shampoo that cleanses and maintains the hue of cool blond, highlighted, bleached or gray hair.
Neutralizes unwanted yellow or brassy tones with a high level of violet dye.
This violet shampoo will create a brighter tone to your light, colored hair, canceling out yellowness created by oxidation. Plus, it will add strength and protect your hair from environmental and physical damage.
NOTE:
Some may choose to use every other time they shampoo, alternating with Color Endure Shampoo."

Packaging:
Great quality and very professional. The Joico logo is simple and clear to read and see. I like how the bottle is purple and how it corresponds to the shampoo inside.

Price:
£12.95 which seems expensive however the duration is excellent and it is a great quality brand.

Performance:
I have been using this shampoo for a while now and it has excellent results.
The scent is lovely and you can just tell it's from a high end line. It has a really bright violet colour and works wonders. I do still use a regular shampoo alongside it as I feel that I still need something to 'clean' my hair whilst this takes away any brassiness that I may have had.

Plus-points:
The results of the shampoo are excellent.
The quality of the brand and product.
The scent is gorgeous.

I would definitely repurchase this again!

Glossy Box September 'The London Edition' LFW

Glossy Box London Edition September 2013

The delivery man knocked on my door this morning and I always get excited when one of my beauty boxes arrives.
Upon opening the cardboard that it's transported in I was met with an absolutely gorgeous Union Jack style box which is definitely one for keeps. This month is the fist time that Glossybox have included a magazine in with their beauty boxes named the GB Mag. Inside are trends, interviews with designers and Glossybox office 'top five obsessions.' The London Edition is to celebrate London Fashion Week (LFW) and British beauty.

Again, the box was beautifully wrapped and had its logo sticker and ribbon to add finishing touches.

Inside my box.

Elizabeth Arden Untold perfume mini. My initial thoughts were to give it away as I thought it's scent would be too 'old' for me. I sampled it and it's actually wearable. I prefer fruity, chocolatey, coconutty or cocoa buttery scents and this one doesn't meet that criteria. It is a grown up scent but it's not overpowering and therefore I will wear this as an everyday scent. I will not be repurchasing. If you like floral scents you will be better suited to this perfume.

Eylure pre-glued lashes. I have never actually worn false lashes. The times I tried, I got them stuck in all the wrong places! However I do like how they can make lashes appear fuller and would be great for a special occasion / night out. I like how they are pre-glued too so that it reduces time. These cost £5.06

Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe classic shine & gloss serum. I'm excited to try this product. I love trying things for my hair to tame my mane. I have naturally curly hair and at times it's dry and I'm always on the look out to find products which will maintain the waves but add gloss, moisture and reduce frizz.

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Onyx Eye Liner $14 for 3g
I do love eyeliners but I have grown a mass collection. This is a first for me though to own one that looks like a felt tip marker. Hopefully it will be easy to apply and ensure a smooth cat flick. I'm pleased with the colour of it and excited to try it out. This has been placed in the box so that if you wish you can recreate the A/W 2013 catwalk looks.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips
This was originally developed for breast feeding women to use as a nipple balm and now it's a cult beauty item for leaving lips smooth and soft. My first thoughts on this was I won't be getting that out in public! "Would anyone like to borrow my nipple balm?" I'm sure even the most chapped of lips in winter wouldn't take me up on my offer or is that just me? However when reading the information card that comes in the Glossybox it states that this balm can be used for eye glitter, (which I love) to mix pigments, shaping eyebrows and even as last minute shoe polish. Looks like I won't be offering to share after all!

So there's my round up of September's Glossybox.
My subscription is £9.99 + £2.95 delivery and I will be keeping this going. I have to say I do prefer when I receive bright , neon, fun products and these all seem so serious and polished this month. I will have to wait for my Miss Glossy to arrive. That is more my style!

Just to let you know I have just joined Instagram so feel free to take a look :)
