Flavourly Food Unboxing - July

This month's Flavourly box was absolutely jam packed with goodies. The box costs £20 and is sent out monthly and today I have another unboxing and review for you.

First up for discussion is the presentation of the box. The brown paper and shredding matches well to the natural products that are sourced in the box. The paper is held together with a Flavourly branded sticker.

The products were well placed in the box and this is what I first saw when opening the paper.

Rani's Quality Mixture £1 for 60g is a gourmet Bombay mix which tastes really fresh and light as pure sunflower oil has been used. It's also crunchy and has a spicy kick to it. I would repurchase this again for the quality of it.

Clearly Scrumptious - Simply Golden Berries £1.19 for 30g. These golden berries are a superfood and I really wanted to love them but they were far too sour for me. They are meant to awaken your taste buds and they certainly did that. I love how they are 100% natural and healthy but I would have preferred the strawberry or apple varieties instead.

Seed and Bean Chocolate Co- Organic creamy white chocolate- Lemon and Poppy Seed £2.89. I have previously tasted a variety of Seed and Bean Chocolate from one of their gift packs at Christmas and it's honestly one of the best chocolate bars I have ever had. The creamy white chocolate has poppy seeds inside to give a crunch and is infused with Italian lemon oil. You can tell when you eat this chocolate that the finest ingredients have been used. Simply divine. I would definitely repurchase.

Drink me Chai- An aromatic blend of tea, milk and spices- £2 for the tub and I received two sachets so approx. £1. Real ground spices have been used with milk, black tea and spices to produce an authentic Indian chai latte. All you have to do is add hot water and stir or if you would like it to be creamier then add half milk, half water. There are only 90 calories per cup and they are 99% caffeine free.

Pepper and Stew - Eastern Africa- Niter Kibbeh Spices £2. A variety of these has been produced by Pepper and Stew to make African recipes quick and easy. Each packet has a recipe idea on the reverse and this particular one can be used to make a spiced clarified butter. These are an interesting idea and great to have an authentic taste in a simple, ready to use packet.

Get Fruity- Scrumptious Strawberry £0.89. This is the best fruit bar that I have ever tasted in my life. It's made from a blend of whole grain oats with added fruit and fruit juice. I can really taste and smell the coconut oil used in this bar and it is absolutely delicious. I would definitely repurchase. I'm in fruity heaven with these.

Super Nature- Ginger infused cold pressed rapeseed oil £2.45 for 100ml. This particular variety is recommended for use in stir fries and roast vegetables and also is available in lemon, garlic and chilli. This is really healthy and I can't wait to try it out.

Trotter's Mojito Marmalade- £2.95. Byam Trotter specialises in sourcing, developing and producing products that are hard to obtain in the UK's market. This is definitely unusual and a real talking point. I love Mojito cocktails and I like marmalade too so this is an interesting concept. There are lots of recipes available on their website and the recommendations are to spread on toast, use on ice-cream, crumbles and in baking.

Eat 17- Cowboy Bacon Jam- £3.99. A BBQ flavoured relish with bacon. Super interesting idea that Eat 17 use on their burgers in their restaurant. It would be fab to use at a BBQ party and spread on burgers, bread, chicken or ribs. They have a host of ideas on their website for inspiration too. 

Darling Corn- Smoked Toasted Corn Kernels £0.69. Darling Spuds is from the same creators as Salty Dog crisps. These are gluten free and a healthy snack.

Berry White organic drinks- Lemon, ginger and Acai berry with white tea and Yerba mate £1.60. These drinks contain super fruits and are light and refreshing.

Lizi's Granola- On The Go £1.19. This is a single portion and with the clever packaging, it doubles up as a bowl with a spoon. It has lactose free milk powder added so that when you add a few spoonfuls of water it turns into a healthy breakfast. What a fab idea and I love granola too.

The box costs £20 and my items added up to £22.53. So what Flavourly in effect does, is source the healthy food products, for you to save you the time in collecting them together yourself. The items are all of exceptionally high quality with the best ingredients used.

There is a fantastic variety included in this box and overall I'm really pleased with it. My favourite items are the Get Fruity Strawberry bar, the Seed and Bean chocolate, Lizi's granola, Eat 17 Cowboy Jam and Trotter's Mojito Marmalade.

Flavourly June Unboxing

Hi everyone!

Today I have a Flavourly unboxing. I loved this box the first time I received one as a gift for Christmas and when I saw a Groupon code for another one I knew it was a must have. The customer service was excellent in helping me with the code and as soon as it went through the box was delivered within two days which was super swift. As I have literally just received the box, I have not yet had a chance to sample the contents so this post is simply an unboxing to show you what I received in the June box.

The box costs £20 per month if you wish to subscribe and is full of excellent quality items and snacks.

The box has a booklet which gives background information on Flavourly and all of the products inside and whereabouts in the UK that they are from. I like this touch as it is an interesting read.

When I first opened the box I saw that it was packed full of goodies. It's exciting to find out what you're going to receive inside.

First up is this Creative Nature- Tropical Treat bar rrp £1.09. The brand was established to promote health, respect and creativity for the environment and to provide the highest quality natural ingredients. The bar has no added sugars or preservatives and I'm looking forward to trying this out to sample the natural flavours.

Nimm's Fruit Crisps rrp £1.29. I love fruit crisps so this will make a healthy snack for me. I received the apple but they are also available in Apple & Strawberry, Pineapple & Mango, Apple & Kiwi, Pear & Kiwi and Orange & Melon varieties.

Hectares Sweet Potato Crisps- rrp £1.19. These are hand cooked sweet potato crisps with a sprinkle of sea salt. I love sweet potato so I bet these are delicious.

Quibble's Nibbles rrp £1.39 Indian Hot Chilli Peanuts & Cashews. I love peanuts and cashews so I can't wait to try these. The makers wanted to create healthy and delicious snacks without leaving lots of product on the fingers whilst and after eating.

Flavour 21 by Laura Santtini rrp £2.00 This will be great when creating pizzas and contains triple strength concentrated tomato puree, soffrito and full bodied red wine. This sounds like it's packed full of flavour.

Beanies Flavour Co- Gingerbread Flavoured Instant Coffee- £2.50. I was recently contacted by Beanies and wrote a review for them. I chose four flavours, which was a hard decision, but didn't choose Gingerbread so I'm really pleased that it is inside the Flavourly box. These coffees are super low in calories and use the finest raw materials. 

On the Pulse Foods rrp £1.19 Jamaican Jerk Hot Chicks- Spicy Roasted Chickpeas. I love the packaging on this one and it makes a very handy snack for on the go. Can't wait to test the flavour on these.

Coconom- Organic Coconut Sugar- £3.45. These are organic coconut sugar crystals which can be used in a variety of ways such as in baking, pop in hot chocolate or sprinkled on yoghurt or ice cream. I love coconut and this sounds absolutely delicious.

Finally I received Frank & Co - Scotch Bonnet Jelly £4.95. This can be eaten hot or cold marinated over salmon or as an accompaniment to savoury dishes or great with cheese. 

So overall, I love these Flavourly boxes for the reason that you get to try high quality foods and snacks, you get such a lot crammed into the box and you have the element of surprise because you don't know what you're getting.

The total amount that my box is worth is £19.05p

Flavourly gourmet food unboxing and review

I received this Flavourly box as a Christmas gift from my fiance's sister and her boyfriend and as soon as I opened it I absolutely loved it. It's like receiving beauty boxes but this takes it to a whole new level. Food in a box every month! I absolutely love food!
 Flavourly is a monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time and costs £15 per month.
Inside the box is a leaflet outlining all of the different products, a little introduction, contact details for the different companies and the location of the brands. What makes this company even more awesome is that they are located in Edinburgh and so am I !

The box is recyclable and is absolutely jam packed full of foodie goodness. I had not heard of Flavourly before receiving this box and therefore makes it a brilliant surprise. The products are of exceptional quality and I have tasted around half of the contents now and am seriously impressed. When things look this good I tend to want to keep them just to look at but one of my new years resolutions is to use things as it's not good if they look pretty and they are past their sell by date. You need to live in the moment and enjoy the here and now.

Here's what I received in my Flavourly box..............

 An exceptionally clear large logo that incorporates the web address. I love the alliteration used too in 'Delivering deliciousness.'

I like the brown paper and box as this suits the brand extremely well. To me when I think of gourmet goods I also think about the best quality produce and being kind to the environment. The little logo sticker holds the paper wrapping inside the box in place and adds a finishing touch.

As soon as I opened my box this is the view of the goodies that I saw inside and thought it was amazingly awesome!

This box gives you the chance to discover brands that you may not have heard of before which is a brilliant idea.

Clearly scrumptious- simply apples- These were the best dried apples I have ever tasted in my life. They were in wedges and I absolutely loved the texture when you bit into them. The bag was generously packed for a healthy portion. I would definitely buy these again. They are available in other fruits too such as cherries, cranberries or golden berries.

PortleBay Popcorn Co- Crispy Bacon & Maple syrup Popcorn. Now at first when I think of popcorn I think of cinemas and I always choose sweet popcorn. I have tried other flavours of popcorn before and although they are unique I wouldn't necessarily buy them again. When I saw bacon and maple syrup flavour my first impressions were that I wasn't sure if I would like them. I popped open the packet and oh my goodness. Best flavour in the world I'm sure. Once I started the flavours just create a foodie explosion and they were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend these too and would repurchase.

Oloves- hot chilli olives. I've not sampled these yet but I am pleased they were contained in the box. I didn't use to like olives until I went to Turkey and they came on a delicious breakfast platter. I like how they are ready to eat and that they have the chilli flavour to give them a kick.

My Olive Branch- Sun dried tomatoes- this looks delicious but not one at first that I knew what to do with. They say it's great for dipping, marinating or using as a condiment at BBQ'S. This has inspired me and reminds me of Mediterranean holidays. I want to dip some hot crusty bread into it.

Stoats 100% Natural Porridge Oat bar- These are handmade in Edinburgh and I shared this with my other half yesterday and it was delicious. I would buy these and eat them as a breakfast snack or at night with a nice cup of tea. They use premium scottish oats and are packed with pumpkins and sunflower seeds and real fruit.

Kintaro- BBQ pumpkin seeds. Two words - delicious and moreish.

Kents Kitchen- Thai red curry meal kit- Look how cute these little pots are with the ingredients. I've never made thai curry before and now I have the flavours I look forward to creating it.

Love Righteous- Ginger & Toasted Sesame 100% Natural salad dressing. This company believe in making their products the best they can be without any preservatives , extenders or artificial ingredients. They also have little or no saturated or trans fat. This will be delicious to use on a salad and I can't wait to try it out.

Eat 17- Bacon Jam- At first when you think of jam you think of sweetness and not bacon so it seems a little surreal. However when reading about it you learn that Eat 17 make hamburgers in their restaurant and use this smokey bacon and onion jam. This now makes a lot more sense and I can't wait to try it on a burger. This would be great at any time of the year but especially at BBQ'S  to make burgers even more delicious.

Jaz and Jules- organic hot chocolate- The little bag of ingredients inside the box is super cute tied up. I can't wait to try this as I love hot chocolate. Jaz and Jules use real chocolate, spices and fruit oils to create their variety of natural flavours.

Teapigs- Everyday brew- The tea bag inside is so posh- I love the material bag used and this company use tea leaves not dust. I made this cup of tea last night and it was great quality- would repurchase again!

Overall- this box gets me excited and comes incredibly highly recommended by me. I love the uniqueness, the amazing quality and the amount of produce and variety that you receive. I want more of these boxes.
